Join me for this week’s episode where we talk to Danette Siegel, doula and founder of the company A Mother Is Born. Danette shares what a powerful initiation giving birth is for a woman and that in this surrender, there is powerful medicine, reclamation, and embodied wisdom. 

Danette reminds us that our work can teach us what it means to let go – one never knows what a birth story will be, but when we allow it to unfold, it is inevitably beautiful. Birthwork has helped Danette find her voice, her empowerment, and what it feels like to be held in community, and these are the gifts she gives to the mothers in her care. Her favorite moments are when her moms realize they have everything they need within them to cross the sacred threshold into motherhood.
